Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop sensations, an artist who could fully transition from into mainstream pop culture, becoming a renowned pop-culture icon and then conquering the world while doing it. The singer-songwriter gained a lot of attention over the course of three albums following, Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017) which became firmly established in a subgenre she felt was right for her. She continued to be at the top of pop even when she cut back on her appearance by releasing her folklore album with siblings in the year 2020, and Evermore.
